Jamestown Police investigating three shooting incidents over past two days

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — Three separate shooting incidents that happened on Friday and Saturday in the City of Jamestown remain under investigation.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, a shooting occurred in downtown Jamestown in the early hours of Friday morning. A specific location was not provided, but officers say the victim had a confrontation with another individual and was transported to an out-of-area hospital for life-threatening injuries.

Another report of a gunshot came in later Friday in the area of Prendergast Avenue. Police say a victim was treated and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Saturday morning at around 1 am, a report of gunshots in the area of Victoria Avenue resulted in the arrest of one man.

Juan A. Tufino Jr., 33, of Jamestown was arrested for possession of a loaded pistol and is being held for Criminal Possession of a Weapon pending arraignment.
