JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man was involved in a police chase that ultimately ended around 1:00 a.m. last night, according to a press release shared by police with 2 On Your Side.
Police say they saw the 34-year-old man commit several traffic violations and then speed away when they attempted to pull him over.
During the chase, the driver almost hit multiple police officers with his car. He then hit a NYS Trooper car, and a parked car. The chase ended when he hit a Jamestown Patrol car head on, according to the police.
They added that the man was fighting the arrest, but was ultimately taken into custody.
He was charged with 3 counts of Reckless Endangerment in the 1st Degree, Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd Degree, Unlawful Fleeing from Police in a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Criminal Mischief in the 2nd Degree, the press release noted.
He is being held at the Chautauqua County Jail without bail because he has prior criminal history, authorities say.
