Groove Lounge ordered to close following off-duty officer shooting

A local nightclub has been ordered to close following a shooting involving an off-duty officer over the weekend.

BUFFALO, NY - A local nightclub has been ordered to close following a shooting involving an off-duty officer over the weekend.

Buffalo Police made the announcement Tuesday evening on Twitter:

Detectives say early Sunday morning, off-duty officer Christopher Bridgett, 29, and Darnell Davis, 28, were in a car after leaving the club on Broadway when another man approached them.

An altercation ensued, and both men in the vehicle were shot.

Adrian Lias, 41, of Buffalo, and Reginald Hokes, 40, of Charlotte, North Carolina, were both charged in the incident.
