LOCKPORT, N.Y. — New York State Police shared on Tuesday troopers in Lockport arrested four teens after a stolen vehicle chase on Sunday.
Four, 14-year-olds were arrested for criminal possession of stolen property and two of the teens were also charged with resisting arrest.
Just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, troopers out of Lockport said they saw a 2002 Toyota Camry fail to stop at a stop sign at Ohio Street and West Ave in Lockport, NY. Troopers then tried to conduct a traffic stop but the Toyota would not pull over, according to the report. Police began to follow the car and the Toyota struck a fence off Vine Street. All four teens began to run from police, according to the report.
Troopers eventually found and arrested all four teens nearby. Police said the Toyota had been recently stolen and the owner did not know the vehicle was taken. The Toyota was found unlocked with the keys inside.
All the teens were issued appearance tickets for Family Court for sometime in December.
