BUFFALO, N.Y. — A former office manager has admitted to stealing more than $700,000 from her employer.
Camille Pirrone-Hess, 59, of Depew pleaded guilty to one count of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree in State Supreme Court.
The Erie County District Attorney's office says that between July 8, 2016 and August 7, 2023, Pirrone-Hess stole $719,122.41 while she worked as an office manager for a business in the City of Buffalo.
During that time, Pirrone-Hess made more than 2,000 unauthorized purchases with the company credit card to fund her lifestyle. The purchases included vacations, event tickets, donations to charitable causes, her child’s college tuition, jewelry, electronics, furniture, utility bills and other personal expenses.
The theft was eventually discovered by her former employer after the business was sold and a review of past credit card statements.
As a condition of her plea, Pirrone-Hess signed a Confession of Judgment to pay full restitution to the victim in the amount of $719,122.41. She could face up to 15 years in prison when she is sentenced in July. She was released on her own recognizance.
