Former Correctional Health Director pleads guilty to falsifying timecard

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A former Correctional Health Director pleaded guilty to falsifying her timecard before a Buffalo City Court Judge on Tuesday morning.  

Christa M. Cutrona a 46-year-old West Seneca woman had been falsifying her time sheets while working as the Director of Correctional Health for the Erie County Sheriffs Department. 

She knowingly committed the crimes from December 30 2021 to February 7, 2022. Cutrona had fraudulently collected around $1,200 in pay which had been discovered after an internal audit was performed. 

Resigning from her position in July of 2022 Cutrona paid full restitution as a condition of her plea and then was transferred to Mental Health Court. 

She had pleaded guilty to one count of Falsifying Business Records in the 2nd degree.
