CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — The case against fired First Student bus driver who is accused of threatening to shoot a student in a video shared on social media is now heading to a grand jury.
Michael Askew, 68, appeared in Cheektowaga Town Court for a felony hearing. He waived a felony hearing, sending the case to a grand jury.
He's the former first student bus driver for Buffalo Public Schools.
His arrest led police to search his home where they found three legal hand guns and one illegal rifle. For which he is charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
Askew will remain remanded and is scheduled to appear for a bail motion on Tuesday at 11 a.m. before Judge Givens.
