BUFFALO, N.Y. — A federal judge has denied a request to reopen the pre-trial release process for Peter Gerace Jr., the owner of Pharaoh's Gentlemen's Club.
Gerace was arrested and charged with witness tampering and taken into custody back in March. A different judge had previously denied a similar request. Gerace is scheduled to head to trial in January in connection to a drug, sex trafficking and bribery case involving undercover DEA agent Joseph Bongiovanni.
The judge also denied a request by the U.S. Attorney's Office to issue a gag order for the case citing comments made to the media.
All parties are scheduled to be back in court on Oct. 31 to argue a change of venue motion.
