BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man is dead after an overnight shooting on Kensington Avenue and Thatcher Avenue, according to a Buffalo Police spokesperson.
Detectives say he was one of three men who were shot in the area while outside, around midnight.
Multiple streets and homes along Kensington Avenue were blocked off by police tape for over an hour Friday night into Saturday morning.
According to authorities, the man who died was a 47-year-old from Buffalo. He was pronounced dead at ECMC.
The two other men were in their 30s. As of 10:40 a.m. Saturday they were being treated for non-life-threatening injuries, also at ECMC, the spokesperson said.
It is unclear what prompted the shooting and Buffalo Police have not released the victims' name or a potential motive at this time. They say they are still investigating.
