BUFFALO, NY-- An Eden man is now facing felony charges in connection to a suspicious fire in Hamburg last summer.
Nicholas Harms, 32, was arraigned Monday on a Grand Jury indictment charging him with one count each of burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
Early on August 22, a fire broke out in an attached garage of a home on Rosedale Ave. in the Village of Hamburg. A family of five was home asleep at the time, but managed to escape from the second floor. One person was hurt and the family dog was lost.
Shortly after, police found Harms near the scene with a debit card and other stolen property from the home in his possession.
He is free on bond until his next court appearance in April. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of all charges.
