2 people hurt in Dunkirk stabbing; suspect in custody

Police say that they were called to a Lake Shore Drive West residence on May 30 for a report of a disturbance.

DUNKIRK, N.Y. — Dunkirk Police are continuing their investigating into a stabbing last week. 

Police say they were called to a a Lake Shore Drive West residence on May 30 for a report of a disturbance. 

Officers say once they made entry to the apartment, they so a man with a knife standing over a woman with several stab wounds. 

The officers were able to take the man into custody without incident.   He is identified as Twain Buchanan-Scott. 

Police also found a second victim with stab wounds in the apartment.  Both victims were treated on scene and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Buchanana-Scott, 34, is charged with Burglary, Assault and Criminal Mischief. He was arraigned in court and is currently being held on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 bond.
