DUNKIRK, NY – City of Dunkirk police officers arrested a man suspected of holding up the Cattaraugus County Bank Thursday afternoon.
With the help of the department's K-9 dog, officers found a man hiding in a nearby field who matched the description provided by bank tellers shortly after setting up a perimeter around the bank.
The suspect had made off with more than $1,000 cash. Although he handed a threatening note to a teller, no weapon was found at the scene. The money, however, was recovered.
Tyler Moon, 29, of Porters Corners, NY, is charged with third-degree robbery and second-degree grand larceny, both of which are felonies.
