BUFFALO, N.Y. — A 59-year-old woman, Camille Pirrone-Hess of Depew, was sentenced to prison by the Erie County District Attorney's office for stealing over $700,000 from her employer.

Between July 2016 and August 2023, Pirrone-Hess made over 2,000 unauthorized transactions using a company credit card, resulting in the theft of $719,122 from the business.

According to the Erie County DA, she used the card to fund her lifestyle, including vacations, event tickets, charitable donations, her child's college tuition, jewelry, electronics, furniture, utility bills, and other personal expenses.

The theft was discovered following the sale of the business and a review of past credit card statements by the former employer.

“Today, my office supported the victims and asked the court to impose the maximum sentence of 15 years in prison for this outrageous crime," said Acting Erie County DA Mike Keane.

"This defendant stole over $700,000 from these victims, causing them life-changing financial harm, and ultimately the sale of their business. Unfortunately, the court imposed the minimum term of incarceration."

Pirrone-Hess pleaded guilty to one count of Grand Larceny in May 2024 and signed a Confession of Judgment to repay the full amount of $719,122 to the victims.
