NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — Niagara Falls police say one man is dead, after a shooting near a memorial gathering Saturday night.
Officers responded near 9th Street & Ferry Avenue just before 9 p.m. First responders say they found a large crowd and a man on the front lawn with what looked like a gunshot wound to his chest.
Police say they tried providing life-saving measures, but medical personnel declared the man dead at the scene. His name is not being released by NFPD at this time.
