North Tonawanda daycare remains closed following child abuse allegations

NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — A Niagara Falls woman is facing charges of child endangerment following a criminal investigation into a North Tonawanda daycare.

Savanna E. Huntington, 20, is charged with three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Huntington worked at the Sweet Angels Daycare and Preschool on Erie Avenue in North Tonawanda

She was arraigned in North Tonawanda City Court.

That Erie Avenue daycare closed shortly after the investigation started.

Allegations came out last year after three Sweet Angels employees were charged. Two employees accepted plea deals.

Sweet Angels operated 5 different locations across Niagara County in Lockport, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, and formerly Newfane.  The Newfane location had announced their decision to close the small town location in December after an investigation began.

There are still two locations open in Lockport.
