NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — A 23-year-old Niagara Falls man has been sentenced to 20-years in state prison that will be followed by 5-years post release supervision for assault in the first degree.

Austin Page pleaded guilty to assaulting a two-month-old baby, causing it severe injuries, including broken bones, and a brain injury.

“When a violent crime like this is committed against a particularly vulnerable victim, in this case a helpless, two-month-old baby, it is particularly egregious,” said Seaman. “The long prison sentence imposed by the judge is wholly deserved.”

Niagara Falls Police also said the victim, a child, is now doing well and is being cared for.
