Jamestown man charged with torturing and injuring animals

Until his arraignment the suspect will be held at the Jamestown City Jail.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown man has been charged with both torturing and injuring animals on New Year's Day morning. 

Police officers had responded around 9:00 a.m. to the west side of the City where a peace officer had made the initial call involving 25-year-old Armando Colon of Jamestown. 

Colon also had active domestic violence charges Police realized, from an incident that happened earlier in the previous year. 

When officers arrived at the scene they found Colon hiding in a basement under a stack of boxes. Soon after he was taken into custody, he arrived at the Jamestown City Jail where he was charged with overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals in both the 2nd and 3rd degree. 

Until his arraignment Colon will be held at the Jamestown City jail.
