CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Cheektowaga Police responded to a fatal accident in which a pedestrian was hit while cleaning off their car in the snow on Monday night.
Officers responded to the scene around 7:20 p.m. in the area of Losson Road where the vehicle had been traveling Westbound and struck a 42-year-old male.
The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to ECMC where they passed away.
Officials also say that the driver never stopped, and continued Westbound down Losson then North on Union Road. The driver was in a newer model gray Ford Explorer.
