CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — In a joint investigation the Erie County Sheriff's Office, and Cheektowaga Police Department announce the arrest of 29-year-old Adam Modica.
Investigators say their investigation led to a search warrant being executed by the ECSO Narcotics and Intelligence Unit on on May 29 at Coralwood Court in the Town of Cheektowaga. Officers they had found Modica in front of the house and were able to detain him without any issues.
During the search, warrant investigators say they found:
- In excess of 4 ounces of suspected cocaine
- In excess of 625 milligrams of psilocybin mushrooms
- Scales, baggies and paperwork
- Approximately, $18,000 USC (Suspected Drug Proceeds)
Modica has been taken into custody and charged with
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance-2 nd Degree – Class A Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Hallucinogen – Class A Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Narcotic Drug-Intent to Sell – Class B Felony
- Criminal Possession of a Hallucinogen-Intent to Sell – Class B Felony
- Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia (2 Counts) – Class A Misdemeanor
Modica is currently being held at the Erie County Holding Center while he awaits arraignment.
