BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has been sentenced for the predatory sexual assault against a child.
Steven Burr, 51, was sentenced in State Supreme Court Tuesday to 32-years to life in prison.
Investigators say Burr had subjected a child to sexual contact on August 27 through the 29 in 2016. They say he then engaged in more acts of a sexual contact with the children from September 2016 through February 2018. The child was less than 13 years old and was known to Burr.
The crimes had been committed at a location in the City of Buffalo.
A jury had found Burr guilty in March of one count of Predatory Sexual Assault against a child, and one count of Sexual Abuse in the first degree.
A final order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim, and their family which will remain in effect until March 2074.
