BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to the first degree of rape in State Supreme Court Friday.
Investigators say Rickey D. Roberts 28, approached the victim in the City of Buffalo with a gun and forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse while also threatening violence. The incident happened back in December of 2023.
The victim was able to get help from nearby people to escape Roberts.
A temporary order of protection has been issued on their behalf of the victim.
Roberts could face a maximum of 25 years in prison when he returns for sentencing in April. He is currently being held without bail.
