BUFFALO, N.Y. — Jahond Taylor, a 35-year-old Buffalo man, has pleaded guilty to a shooting that happened in the spring of 2020.

Taylor recently appeared in court where he pleaded guilty to one count of manslaughter in the first degree, and one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree.

The incident had happened on April 23 2020 when Taylor allegedly approached a vehicle as it was backing out of a driveway on Langmeyer Ave, and shot the driver with an illegal gun, according to investigators.  The driver,  22-year-old Andr'a C. Austin crashed into a nearby light pole.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Taylor could face a maximum of 25-years in prison when he returns for sentencing in July and will continue to be held without bail.
