BUFFALO, N.Y. — Before the Tops mass shooting on May 14, 2022, there was Aug. 14, 2010.
It was a dark day in the City of Buffalo when several people were shot and killed in downtown Buffalo.
It is a day many won't forget. The shooting happened outside the old City Grill restaurant on Main Street in downtown Buffalo. The victims were leaving a party when gun shots were fired.
Five people were killed: Danyell Mackin Sr., Tiffany Wilhite, Tia McNeil, Willie McCaa, and DeMario Vass. Three other people were injured in the shooting.
Mackin's widow posted that Wednesday would have been their 15th wedding anniversary.
Ricardo McCray is spending life behind bars for the mass shooting.
