In an update the investigators say that Bulera had been driving 107mph at the time of the crash.

WEST SENECA, N.Y. — A Cheektowaga man was arraigned Thursday in West Seneca Town Court in connection with a crash that killed a woman.

Alan P. Bulera, 48, of Cheektowaga is charged with manslaughter in the first degree.

Investigators with the Erie County District Attorney's office say Bulera was speeding at 107mph on Clinton Street when he collided with another vehicle at Borden Road.

The driver of that vehicle, Irene Mair, 76, of West Seneca died at the scene.

Bulera is set to return to court on Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. for a pre-trial conference.

He is currently being held at the Erie County Holding Center.  His bail has been set at $350,000 cash or bond and his New York State driver’s license has been temporarily suspended.

Bulera faces a maximum sentence of 25 years in prison if he is convicted.
