Cheektowaga man accused of shooting restaurant manager in the back

Anthony B. Jones, 44, was arraigned on one count of assault in the first degree.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Cheektowaga man is accused of shooting a restaurant manager in the back. 

Anthony B. Jones, 44, was arraigned on one count of assault in the first degree. 

Jones is accused of getting into a verbal altercation Sunday with the manager of the Jim's Steakout on Main Street in Buffalo.  Jones allegedly shot the manager in the back. 

The victim was taken to ECMC by Buffalo Police officers. His injury appears non-life threatening. 

Jones is expected to return to court January 16. Bail has been set at $50,000.
