LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y. — The acting Cattaraugus County Sheriff has issued a warning to drug dealers and offered help to those dealing with addiction.

He also called out law makers in Albany.

Acting Sheriff Eric Butler posted on the sheriff's office Facebook page offering help for those with addiction.  He said that the office will work with community leaders and use resources for those that need help. "Rest assured that our office will work relentlessly with all of our community leaders and use our resources to assist you with treatment, including locating a rehab facility for you. We will be your biggest advocates!", he wrote.

He then went on to issue a warning to those dealing drugs in the county. "...if you are not tired of the cycle and intend to continue to sell this poison in our county I want to be as equally clear with each and every one of you, WE ARE COMING FOR YOU! We are working hard with our Federal Partners to find creative ways around the absurd laws being passed by the ruling party in Albany."

He also criticized elected officials in Albany, saying they've had enough.  "We will not allow the incompetence of our elected officials in Albany to handcuff our ability to protect our community. The employees of the Sheriff’s Office along with the vast majority of the members of this great community have had enough. We are here to help if that is what you seek. If not batten down the hatches."

If you are in need of assistance to help with drug addiction, the sheriff's office says you can call:  716-938-2217 and they will assist in connecting you with resources available.
