Car crashes into businesses on Main Street in Snyder

The Amherst Police are investigating a car crash that caused approximately $30,000 in damage to two Snyder buildings on Main Street.

AMHERST, New York — The Amherst Police were called to reports of a car crash in Snyder early Monday morning located at 4521 Main Street at the intersection of Harlem Road. 

When police responded around 1:12 a.m. a 2006 Toyota sedan could be seen crashed into a building on Main Street. The driver was a juvenile male, and was taken to ECMC for minor injuries. 

The driver has been charged with multiple traffic infractions. 

Damage to the building is estimated at approximately $30,000 to both buildings that were struck. Main Street eastbound at Harlem had been reduced to one lane of traffic at the time of the crash. 

Amherst Police are still investigating the scene, anyone with footage or that may have witnessed the crash is asked to call (716)-689-1311.
