BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man was arrested on Monday following a weekend burglary call.
On Saturday, Oct. 26, Buffalo Police officers were called to the 600 block of East Delavan Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Saturday. There, police said they found three vehicles had been taken from a garage.
"Over the course of the investigation, it was determined that an unknown male broke into the garage and unlawfully towed away the vehicles at different times," police said Thursday in a statement.
The vehicles in question were a Mercedes CLS 500 taken on Oct. 14, a Buick Regal taken on Oct. 16, and a Chevrolet SSR taken on Oct. 17.
"The vehicles were taken to a dismantle company where the unknown male claimed to be the lawful owner and sold the vehicles to be destroyed," police said.
Phillip Jackson, 61, of Buffalo was identified as a suspect and arrested without incident, police said. He's charged with one felony count of grand larceny; one felony count of burglary; and three misdemeanor counts of making a punishable false written statement.
A search of the New York State electric court filing system on Thursday showed that Jackson's next court appearance is scheduled for the morning of Nov. 26 in Buffalo City Court. He has a defense attorney.
