Overnight shooting sends Buffalo teen to ECMC

The 14-year-old boy was shot around 3 a.m. while walking on the first block of Richlawn Avenue.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo teen is recovering at a hospital after being shot early Sunday.

The 14-year-old boy was shot around 3 a.m. while walking on the first block of Richlawn Avenue, north of Kensington Avenue and east of Fillmore Avenue, according to a spokesperson for Buffalo Police.

He was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening, police said Sunday evening.
