BUFFALO, N.Y. — A man was tased by Buffalo Police officers, then taken into custody following a shots-fired call Friday afternoon on the city's Lower West Side.
Officers responded to the call around 2:30 p.m. Friday on the 400 block of Niagara Street. The man was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center around 5 p.m. to be evaluated, a spokesperson for Buffalo Police said.
Niagara Street reopened to traffic after the incident, some time past 5 p.m.
A spokesperson for Buffalo Police said the shots that prompted the response might have been fired inside of a residence.
"Authorities say the incident appears domestic related, and no injuries have been reported at this time," Buffalo Police said in a statement.
