BUFFALO, N.Y. — Four suspected overdose deaths during a 24-hour span led the Buffalo Police Department to issue a warning on Saturday night.
"The four deaths have occurred in different parts of the city," police said in a statement. "Suspected crack and/or powder cocaine has been found at each scene."
Police did not specify exactly where the overdose deaths happened, nor did they provide any details on the victims.
In early October, the Chautauqua County Health Department issued an alert after four people died of drug overdoses in the Jamestown area in one weekend. Health department and law enforcement at the time said a deadly supply of street drugs had likely been circulating in the community.
