Buffalo Police: 2 shot in Kensington neighborhood

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Pannell and East Amherst streets around 12:50 a.m.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two people were shot Sunday morning near the Amherst Street Metro Rail Station, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

Police responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Pannell and East Amherst streets around 12:50 a.m. and shortly after, two people arrived at ECMC in a personal vehicle. Both had been shot.

Police say a 23-year-old woman from North Tonawanda and a 25-year-old man from Buffalo were both treated at ECMC for non-life-threatening injuries.
