BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for killing his girlfriend last year.
Savon R. Stewart, 30, of Buffalo, was sentenced in Erie County Court Tuesday on one count of Murder in the Second Degree.
Investigators said Buffalo Police were called to an apartment complex on Aug. 7, 2023 on Main Street near Niagara Falls Blvd. for a 911 call. When officers arrived, they found Jena MacDiarmid Beal, 37, dead in her apartment. They said Steward beat and stabbed MacDiarmid Beal to death.
Stewart was found guilty by a jury in October following a six-day trial.
