BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of Murder for his role in a fatal 2022 shooting.
The Erie County District Attorney's Office says Martinko Jamel Caver, 45, of Buffalo shot and killed 33-year-old George McGee III on September 5, 2022, with an illegal gun on Glenwood Avenue.
McGee III was taken to ECMC where he later died due to his injuries.
Caver pleaded guilty to Monday afternoon to Murder in the Second Degree, the highest count of the indictment, according to the DA.
Caver now faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life in prison. He is scheduled to be held without bail until his sentence is delivered on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
