Buffalo man pleads guilty to murder in Town of Tonawanda shooting

Jameer M. Woods, 20, A.K.A. "Jaia" pleaded guilty on Thursday in Erie County Court to several charges including second degree murder and attempted murder.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man has admitted to killing two people and injuring a third in a shooting in the Town of Tonawanda. 

Jameer M. Woods, 20, A.K.A. "Jaia" pleaded guilty on Thursday in Erie County Court to two counts of Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, one count of Assault in the First Degree  and one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree. 

According to the Erie County District Attorney's Office, Woods shot and killed two people and seriously injured another person on August 28, 2022.  They say the guns used to commit the shootings were illegal. 

The shootings happened inside an apartment on the 700 block of Parker Boulevard in the Town of Tonawanda.

Antoyn Williams, 51, of Buffalo and Kristina Perez, 26, of Hinsdale both died at the scene. The third victim, a 56-year-old male was taken to ECMC and treated for injuries. 

Wood faces up to 75 years to life in prison when he is sentenced on July 31.  He remains held without bail.
