BUFFALO, N.Y. - A Buffalo woman who ran a drug ring that employed several family members has been sentenced to 15 1/2 years in prison.
Theresa Anderson appeared in federal court Tuesday, where she pleaded guilty in June to conspiracy.
Prosecutors say she oversaw an around-the-clock operation in which crack cocaine was sold from several houses she bought.
Anderson said in a letter to the judge she started using drugs at age 14 and made poor choices to finance her addiction.
She was arrested in February 2012 along with her common-law husband, son, three daughters, two of the daughters' boyfriends and a granddaughter. All have pleaded guilty to drug charges.
Anderson has agreed to forfeit her houses as part of her plea.
