BUFFALO, N.Y. — A former Buffalo firefighter was sentenced on Wednesday morning for possessing child pornography.
Acting Erie County District Attorney Michael J. Keane announced that Jose R. DeJesus, 40, of Buffalo pleaded guilty on May 9 earlier this year to promoting a sexual performance by a child.
He will serve 10 years of probation with sex offender conditions, according to the District Attorney's office.
DeJesus possessed and shared content with another user through a website back in January of 2022.
At the time of the crime, he was employed as a firefighter with the Buffalo Fire Department.
