MIAMI — Police in Miami say they have identified a suspect and located a vehicle in connection with a fatal shooting of a Buffalo Bills fan.
The shooting happened outside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday night following the Bills’ 21-14 win over the Dolphins.
The victim is identified as 30-year-old Dylan Isaacs of Six Nations, Ontario.
Isaacs was visiting friends in Miami for the game. Miami police said a fight started involving him and his friends outside the stadium that escalated to a suspect exiting their vehicle, firing multiple rounds and striking Dylan. He was pronounced dead at the scene around midnight.
2 On Your Side spoke to Isaacs' mother on Monday.
“He was hit by a car, knocked over,” his mother, Susan said. “When he got up, he tried to go after the car, and the guy shot him.”
Susan said she received a call as she was getting ready for bed on Sunday night.
“I thought it was a dream, and it wasn’t happening,” she said. “We just talked to him on Sunday while he was at the game. He FaceTimed us. I just don't know why anyone would do that.”
Susan described her son as an avid basketball player and a big Bills fan, but most of all said that he loved making his family smile.
Police haven't released a suspect's name, or if any charges are being filed.
Crime Stoppers in Miami offered a reward up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved in the shooting. You can contact them at: 305-471-8477.
