BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police said a man has died after being hit while riding a bike early Saturday morning.
Around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, officers were called to Fillmore Avenue and Howard Street on reports of an accident.
BPD investigators said a bicyclist was traveling southbound on Fillmore Avenue when a vehicle hit the bicyclist from behind.
The 24-year-old male bicyclist was from Cheektowaga. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police a dark SUV, possibly a black Jeep Cherokee, left the scene of the crash. Police said vehicle had dark tinted windows and front end damage.
