Arrests made during Bills game by Orchard Park Police

During the Bills home opener Sunday, the Orchard Park Police say they had a high number of calls involving a large fight, and a hit and run.
31-year-old James Cushman was shot and killed by police following an altercation, last week.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The Orchard Park Police say they responded to several calls during the Buffalo Bills home opener.

The calls ranged from car crashes, fights, missing persons, illegal parking, reckless driving, stolen vehicles, domestic disturbances, and more.

Just before kicked off, officers were called to a report of a large fight in a lot on 3819 Southwestern Boulevard.

When officers arrived on the scene, they charged three West Seneca men, Quinn P. Clifford, 19, Jacob D. Warren, 20, and Richard A. Mancuso, 20 with disorderly conduct. Police say they were also kicked out of the parking lot by the property owner.  They were all released to their parents on appearance tickets and will return at a later date to the Town of Orchard park Court.

Following the game, Orchard Park Police say they were called to 41 W. Abbott Grove for a pedestrian that was hit by a vehicle.

According to police, witnesses at the scene tried to stop the driver of the vehicle while the victim was underneath it. They say the driver allegedly reversed the vehicle and fled the scene, weaving around other vehicles, and driving onto the grass.

Orchard Park Police investigated the scene with the help of the Kenmore Police Department, and later located the driver.

The driver is identified as Alfred D. Santiago, 40.  He is charged with leaving the scene of personal injury without reporting, a felony DWI, and felony aggravated unlicensed operation due to a previous DWI conviction.

The person who was hit had serious upper body injuries and was taken to the hospital by Orchard Park EMS.

The Orchard Park Police Accident Investigation Crash Unit is continuing to investigate the scene and will be determining additional charges with the Erie County District Attorneys Office.

Santiago will report to Kenmore and Orchard Park courts at a future date for his charges.
