The charges are connected to a July 16 shooting that sent a 25-year-old man to Erie County Medical Center, according to Buffalo Police.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two arrests were made in connection to a shooting that happened last month in the City of Buffalo.

Ismael Gonzalez-Colon, 35, and Lemuel Moro Ferrer, 24 — both from Buffalo — face charges in connection to a July 16 shooting that sent a 25-year-old man to Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo Police said in a statement Friday.

Gonzalez-Colon has been charged with one felony count of attempted murder; one felony count of burglary; one felony count of robbery; one felony count of criminal possession of a weapon; and one misdemeanor count of reckless endangerment.

Moro Ferrer is charged with one felony count of burglary and one felony count of robbery.

A search of the New York State electric court filing system on Friday night shows that Moro Ferrer was arrested on Wednesday and Gonzalez-Colon on Thursday. Both have a defense attorney.

The shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m. on July 16 on the 100 block of Smith Street, where police say they found a man with a gunshot wound.

"It was alleged that four unknown males unlawfully entered a home and shot the victim," police said.

Gun Violence Unit detectives launched an investigation, and two suspects were arrested on Thursday.

The investigation is ongoing.
