Arrest made in connection to City of Buffalo shooting death

"Homicide detectives immediately began an investigation and a suspect was identified," police said in a statement Thursday, announcing the arrest.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police announced an arrest in connection to a shooting death that happened last month in the City of Buffalo.

Timé Thomas, 30, of Cheektowaga faces one felony count of murder in connection to the the death of 31-year-old Quentin Sims of Buffalo.

The shooting happened around 8:50 p.m. on Friday, April 26 at Young and Ashley streets, just south of Broadway. Officers who responded to the shots-fired call found Sims, who had been shot multiple times. He was declared dead at the scene.

"Homicide detectives immediately began an investigation and a suspect was identified," police said in a statement Thursday, announcing the arrest.

A search of the New York State electric court filing system did not show any future court dates for Thomas.
