BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Buffalo man on both parole and probation was arrested in connection to a shooting that happened Wednesday night.
Jaylan Holliday, 22, faces a list of charges in connection to a shooting that happened around 8 p.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of Butler Avenue, north of East Ferry Street. That's where Buffalo Police officers found a 21-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the leg.
"His court-ordered GPS monitor was cut off following the shooting," Buffalo Police said in a statement on Thursday night, announcing Holliday's arrest.
The woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center to be treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
"Gun Violence Unit detectives immediately began an investigation, and a suspect was identified," police said.
Holliday was taken into custody on the 100 block of Inn Keepers Lane in Amherst, near Niagara Falls Boulevard and the 290. He's been charged with one felony count of attempted murder, one felony count of assault, one felony count of criminal possession of a weapon, and one felony count of reckless endangerment.
