AMHERST, N.Y. — An Amherst man is being accused of possessing and promoting child pornography.
Michael S. Reed, 27, is charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child.
Investigators with the New York State Police say they were conducting an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation in Amherst, when they say they discovered Reed allegedly possessed child pornography and was disseminating child pornography.
Reed was arraigned in court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to return to court in November 2024.
