BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Tonawanda man is being charged in connection with a fatal stabbing.
Adalberto J. Bermudez, Jr., (aka 'Chopa'), 46, is charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Sunday morning.
Buffalo Police says officers were called to Isabelle Street on Sept. 23 where they found a man, identified as Jose Barreto-Gonzalez, 39, dead inside his apartment.
Investigators say Bermudez, Jr. allegedly stabbed Barreto-Gonzalez, causing his death.
Bermudez is scheduled to return to court Nov. 15 for a felony hearing. He is currently being held without bail. If he is convicted, Bermudez faces up to 25-years to life in prison.
