BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Police Department said five arrests have been made in connection to a stolen Kia out of Amherst.
Police said the stolen vehicle was located on Roosevelt Avenue in the city by a NY State Police helicopter on Friday.
According to the news release, four teens ages 13-to-17 ran from the scene but officers were able to track them all down.
The three oldest teens are facing charges for criminal possession of stolen property and the 13-year-old was released to his parents.
During the investigation, police said two adults, Jordan Lackey, 23, of Niagara Falls, and Laneille Jones, 22, of Buffalo were also arrested after they were found armed with ghost guns in the company of one of those teens.
The weapons recovered were a Polymer 80 ghost gun, loaded with 7 rounds, and a Taurus Millennium loaded with 11 rounds.
