WILLIAMSVILLE, NY-- Four people have been arrested for allegedly shoplifting $1,100 of merchandise from Macy's at the Eastern Hills Mall.
The Erie County Sheriff's received a call from Macy's Tuesday about a person leaving the store with items that they had not purchased. The Macy's employee provided police with a partial plate number and a description of the vehicle the suspect fled in.
Deputies discovered the vehicle matching that description on Transit Road and pulled the vehicle over. A loss prevention employee from Macy's identified the people in the vehicle as the ones in the store.
Police charged Tanashia Bradley, 18, Dartwon Brooks, 22 and Devonte Whitsett 22, all of Buffalo with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and conspiracy. Bradley faces an additional charge of Burglary due to violating an earlier trespassing order for the mall.
The fourth suspect is a minor.
All suspects were taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending their arraignment.
