BUFFALO, N.Y. — Governor Kathy Hochul has vetoed the Grieving Families Act yet again.
The bill would have allowed wrongful death lawsuits to include claims for emotional damage and provide more compensation for families.
There was bi-partisan support after the mass shooting at Tops.
However, Governor Hochul vetoed the same bill earlier this year claiming it would have increased insurance premiums and negatively impacted health care systems.
