WNY Police look to hire more officers at recruitment event

Representatives from 10 different WNY police departments, US Air Force, will attend

AMHERST, N.Y. — Western New York Police Departments are looking for new recruits to join their teams. On Tuesday, July 15, the Amherst Police will host a recruitment event at their Community Police and Training Facility.  Representatives from at least 10 different WNY Police departments will be there to answer questions about their stations or the hiring process. 

On July 27, there will be an open house where possible new officers can tour the Amherst Police Headquarters. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will have food trucks, games, police car displays, different local vendors, and a building tour. Anyone interested in checking out the building needs to register at this link. 

The next entrance exam for police officers is on September 28. Anyone interested can file the application online during the recruitment.
