BUFFALO, N.Y. — A Daemen University senior's artwork now adorns an NFTA bus in honor of Black History Month.
"I wanted to highlight key elements of Buffalo that make it what it is today. Specifically the Colored Musician's Club. They brought so much to Buffalo," said Amani Fanning about her design.
This year she won the NFTA’s third annual Black History Month bus wrap competition.
Certain colors stand out in her design.
"When you think about purple and yellow, you think of pride, powerful, so I wanted to make sure I shared that message with the image," she said in an interview with Two On Your Side's Claudine Ewing.
Her name is also on the bus. "It's beautiful, it's great to see and I can't wait to see it driving down the street in motion."
